Day 2 Done

Hey guys!

How's it going for all of you in the internet world? (Happy Labor Day, by the way!) Are you guys enjoying the final day of summer? (Sad to think, right?) But I do hope that all of you will look back at the summer of 2014 with nothing but happy memories.

So college is interesting. I've been pretty jammed packed with the stuff the past few days. It wasn't what I thought it would be, to say the least. Don't get me wrong, it is fun; but I'm really tired and not having a good friend here sucks. I'm between wanting to hide out and not be bothered (my inner introvert coming out) to wanting to be social and meet new people (inner extrovert).

BUT! I refuse to be negative about this and will not allow any bad thoughts to enter my mind. It's just challenging and I won't let myself get pissy about it. It's a new obstacle in my life and I will overcome it. :)

It's a beautiful school. I love it. I'm really excited for my classes to start. (Minus the fact that I don't know where they are...But that's another headache.) It'll be another way for me to meet more people. Yay! And the food here is actually pretty good.

My dorm room is cute...ish. It looks really temporary, but I've only been here 2 days, so that's to be expected. I'm gonna spice it up more later.

Anyway, it's been crazy busy the last 2 days! If the goal is keep us busy in order to make us tired and crash hard in the morning, then they are doing a great job. We've been touring the campus, looking for classes, took a Sex Ed and Bystander class...(Don't ask). It's sort of like a summer camp. Lots of students who don't know each other with leaders who treat us like lost puppies. It's not bad, though.

So funny story for today: I saw one of my speech friends who I haven't seen in 2 years. He was in the dorm hall and was talking with another girl on my floor and I walked by and just waited for him to notice me. He waved awkwardly and then his eyes lit up and he gave me this huge hug and then we talked for a little. It was really nice to get that kind of response. :)

I'm crazy tired so I think I'm gonna go to sleep. Have a great Tuesday!
